Network Resilience enables service operations in the face of faults and challenges. Threats and challenges for services can range from simple mis-configuration, large scale natural disasters to targeted attacks. We help our customers build and maintain resilient networks to protect against service outages and emerging threats.

Our process involves evaluating complete resiliency life-cycle including Integrity, Reliability and Recovery dimensions of network operations.

Network Integrity

Network Integrity analysis focuses on the logical or physical implementation (or both) and helps network owners identify potential architectural weaknesses or single points of failure (SPOFs) that pose the greatest threat to the network and supporting services. Single points of failure may result from limitations in network design (even with network redundancy), software faults or misconfiguration, erroneous network implementation, or network operations with inadequate or flawed monitoring.

Palindrome Technologies experts uses custom tools and methods to evaluate existing and new network designs and identify potential limitations that can impact operations or services.

Network Reliability

Network Reliability analysis evaluates the network architecture, operational plans and the ability to support and deliver network services reliably and align with user experience quality requirements (e.g., KPI’s, quality, performance, security). The results are categorized and prioritized in a detailed report to formulate a design plan that can address existing deficiencies. Furthermore, the results can be used to:

  • Develop requirements for any operations support system for continuous network reliability monitoring.
  • Develop reliability metrics that reflect the service provider’s design goals and customer expectations. Reliability of data networks depends on the capacity and utilization of network elements. These metrics may be substantially different than those needed to monitor and control the reliability of a deployed architecture.
  • Develop reliability requirements for the new network architecture. These will depend on the anticipated mix of services on the network. These requirements are for the internal use of the service provider.
  • Estimate reliability parameters for generic or new network elements (e.g., routers, SBC, CSCF, eNB, MME).

Palindrome Technologies experts develop such estimates on the reliability/availability of network elements based on information provided by the service provider and its suppliers. These are the building blocks for predicting the reliability of any new architecture.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

Any disruption in telecommunications and information systems can have devastating impact on revenue, operations, organizational image or regulatory fines. Natural disasters, fire, terrorism, vandalism, data-breach or ransomware are just a few of the occurrences that can cripple an organization.

Palindrome Technologies’s approach is designed to ensure that an organization has a tailored Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Management System based on national/international standards and cross-industry best practices. Our methods are comprehensive and yet flexible enough to prepare for failures from internal and external threats.

Our subject matter experts are certified by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) and the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and have extensive experience with Carrier networks, Enterprise networks and World-class events such as the Olympic Games.
